THE MOUNTAINS
We are very lucky to share with you one of Liechtenstein’s most beautiful places — our holiday home in Gaflei. It is where we spend as much time as possible, a place that truly means “our time for a break” to us. When we are away, we are happy to open our chalet to you, so it can become your time for a break as well.

Liechtenstein is a country of mountains. Despite its small size of just 160 km², its landscape is remarkably diverse — stretching from the gentle floor of the Rhine Valley all the way up to peaks rising nearly 2,600 meters. Few places offer such variety in such a compact area. The rich flora and fauna, along with the ever-changing colors of the seasons, create a truly beautiful natural setting.

On scenic hikes along steep yet well-maintained trails, you may discover fascinating rock formations, rare alpine flowers, and wildlife such as roe deer, red deer, and chamois. With a bit of luck — especially in the early autumn mornings — you might even spot the elusive black grouse.

In winter, excellent sports opportunities await nearby: alpine skiing in Malbun, just a 30-minute drive away, and peaceful cross-country skiing in Steg, only 20 minutes from the chalet.
